Chartered model nets industry honor


Chartered Homes was among the honorees at the recent Homer Awards, sponsored by the Southern Nevada Home Builders Association.

In the category of Best Attached Home, the builder's Inverness model at Fairway Pointe took home the honors.

"We're very excited about this recognition," Ward Ritter, president of the home building firm, said. "Fairway Pointe is a carefully designed and thoughtfully planned community. The Inverness model was designed according to the input we received from our buyers. They wanted a floor plan that allowed them the greatest flexibility associated with their lifestyles."

The floor plan offers two bedrooms upstairs and a third bedroom or den downstairs in 1,642 square feet.

"The two-story ceilings from the living room to the second floor give the home an enormous feeling of openness," Patrick Patterson, executive vice president, said.

Fairway Pointe is a townhome development within Queensridge, a gated community that surrounds the Badlands Golf Club. Four additional floor plans are available and priced from the $140,000s.

The Brookhill measures 1,453 square feet with dual owner suites and two baths. One of the suites can be converted to a secondary bedroom and den.

With 1,604 square feet, the Cornwall comes standard with three bedrooms and two baths. The third bedroom can be converted to a home office or den, and the kitchen, dining and living rooms are combined as a great room.

The two-story Fairfax, a 1,573-square-foot home, offers dual owner suites plus a half-bath downstairs.

Three bedrooms are 2 1/2 baths are featured in the St. Andrews model, which measures 1,731 square feet. The owner suite is located downstairs and there are two additional bedrooms upstairs.

All homes include an 8-foot entry door, a ceramic-tile entry, gas fireplace, 9-foot ceilings, and mirrored closet doors.

Kitchen features include recessed lighting, oak cabinets with concealed hinges and adjustable shelves, a pantry, water line to the refrigerator, and an appliance package.

Owner suites provide a retreat, separate shower and tub, walk-in closet, and dual vanities.

The gated community features a 24-hour security patrol, a park overlooking the golf course, and a cobblestone entry drive. There also is a pool, spa, cabana and gym.

To visit, take Charleston Boulevard just west of Fort Apache Road and turn right. Models are open daily from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
