Calico Ridge offer discount to home buyers

Calico Ridge, a custom-home community in Henderson, is offering a 15 percent discount through November on home sites where the buyer closes escrow within 30 days, according to the developer, Melvin Bagley.

"This discount can represent a savings of more than $60,000 on selected home sites, which is a substantial amount, considering that these lots are already competitively priced," Hawley Bagley, a broker with Hawleywood Realty, said.

"All home sites qualify for the 15 percent discount including our finest view lots, home sites that are up to 2 acres in size, and home sites in private, gated neighborhoods ... Anyone seeking the ultimate location for their future custom home should definitely come out and see our selection before buying anywhere else. We believe we have some of the finest view lots in the city and we don't expect them to be available for long."

Home sites are priced from $69,900.

The community is close to the Lake Mead National Recreational Area.

"Many of our homeowners are boating enthusiasts who appreciate the close proximity of Lake Mead as well as the secured RV and boat parking facilities that are nearby," Bagley said. "In fact, many of our residents have specifically designed custom garage facilities to accommodate their boats and specialized water sports equipment."

The home sites feature underground utilities including city sewer, water, gas, electric, telephone and cable TV. Architectural guidelines ensure a sense of continuity in the overall design of the community, according to Bagley.

To visit, take Interstate 515 to Lake Mead Drive and go three miles past Boulder Highway. Office hours are 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily.
