Summerlin to release last of Redhawk lots

Summerlin plans an imminent release for the four remaining custom-home sites in Redhawk, a neighborhood within The Ridges village of the master-planned community, according to Peggy Chandler, senior vice president of land sales for The Howard Hughes Corp., developer of Summerlin.

The luxury-home subdivision, comprising 82 home sites, is expected to sell out shortly after the release. The subdivision opened in spring 2004.

The final four home sites range from about one-third acre to more than 1.25 acres. Prices start from $649,000 to $950,000.

Two of the home sites feature golf course views, one a city view, and the other a mountain view.

"Redhawk, like The Ridges' other luxury neighborhoods, has been tremendously popular with those interested in luxury living environments," Chandler said.

"Redhawk home sites have all sold shortly after releasing them for sale. The Ridges' success is due in part to its location in the western foothills of the Las Vegas Valley, which offers both privacy and spectacular views."

The subdivision is bordered by Bear's Best Las Vegas, a Jack Nicklaus-designed, daily-fee golf course.

The Ridges village is situated along the foothills of the Spring Mountain Range and Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area at the western end of Desert Inn Road. Built as a series of neighborhoods, all situated behind a guard-gated entrance, it offers a location just west of the Las Vegas Beltway.

"The golf course and closeness to Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area offer a spectacular location," Chandler said. "Another strong selling point is the fact that the national conservation area prevents any building west of The Ridges. This ensures seclusion and privacy that are hard to match elsewhere in the Las Vegas Valley."

Custom-home sites start from one-third acre and are typically priced from the $500,000s to more than $1 million.

To visit the home-site sales center, travel west on Desert Inn Road until it ends at Flamingo Road, then turn left. The building will be in view on the right. It is open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily.
