State association taps local Realtors



-- Two local Realtors will serve on the 2002 board of directors for the Nevada Association of Realtors. Kellie Rubin of ReMax Achievers is president-elect and Keith Kelley of Prudential Americana Group is treasurer. Their terms begin Nov. 15.

-- Clark County Comprehensive Planning staff member Jon Wardlaw has been elected 2002 president of the Nevada Chapter of the American Planning Association. Staff member Garrett TerBerg has been elected vice president.

-- GVA Industrial Property Group's Bill Walsh represented Mack Design Group in its 63-month lease of 7,310 square feet at 5425 S. Valley View Blvd. from Paul and Nola Harber for $370,288. In another transaction, Walsh represented Anthony and Joan Rugolo in the seven-year lease of 1,440 square feet at 931 American Pacific Drive in Henderson from Paladin Commercial Center for $149,539.

-- Lee and Associates' Gregory Pico represented Michigan Paseo Plaza in its 36-month lease of 1,120 square feet at 2600 W. Sahara Ave., Suite 117, to Iron Age Shoes, represented by David Howes, for $68,543. In another transaction, Scott Owens and Mel Koich represented both parties in Las Vegas Industrial Park's 36-month lease of 5,067 square feet at 6959 Speedway Blvd., Suite W-102, to Double Eagle Golf & Utility Vehicles for $71,770. Shawn Barashy represented Insulpro Projects in its 60-month lease of 11,985 square feet at 697 Corinthian Way from Carbin Industrial Properties for $600,000. Barashy also represented both parties in Dr. M Living Trust's sale of .53 acres at the northeast corner of Emerald Avenue and Stephanie Street to Gene and Marion Mestas for $161,607.

-- Paul Sweetland of Sweetland Industrial Realty represented Stratton Construction in its purchase of 6,600 square feet at 1105 Sharp Circle from Earl Patterson, represented by Gary Burgher of Pro Realty, for $511,000. In another transaction, E. John Sweetland represented both parties in Michael Family Limited Partnership's sale of 8,420 square feet at 4387 W. Sunset Road to RU Investments for $780,162.

-- CB Richard Ellis' Bill Dunbar and George Okinaka represented Bath and Body Works in their 10-year lease of 3,167 square feet at the northwest corner of Charleston and Nellis boulevards from Charleston Commons for $700,000. In another transaction, Melanie Braud represented WXI/MCN Commercial Real Estate in its three-year lease of 940 square feet at 1771 E. Flamingo Road to Michael Stein & Associates for $61,000. Darren Lemmon represented Howard Hughes Properties in the five-year lease of 2,255 square feet at 1140 Town Center Drive to Cameron & Co. for $290,000.

-- Soozi Jones Walker of Realty Executives of Nevada represented both parties in N and N Spring Mt V's 25-month lease of 2,017 square feet at 5828 W. Spring Mountain Road, Suite 314, to Liberty Baptist Church for $50,240. In another transaction, Walker represented Ecolab in its 36-month lease of 1,980 square feet at 4315 S. Industrial Road, Suite 219, from South Tech Partners, represented by Teri Schifano, for $81,972. Walker also represented Wailuku Investments in its sale of 7,967 square feet at 5975 Procyon Ave. to Alvin Shsiraki, represented by Michael Sumiyoshi of Realty 7, for $628,000.
