Pardee opens Big Sky RanchesSPECIAL TO REAL ESTATE
Visitors can register today for a prize drawing at Big Sky Ranches, Pardee Homes' newest neighborhood to open in the southwestern Las Vegas Valley. One lucky winner will have the choice of a hot air balloon flight or a weekend for two at a major Strip resort. The drawing is part of the builder's grand-opening festivities at the neighborhood, where there will also be live entertainment, refreshments and balloon creations from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. All homes at Big Sky Ranches feature the Energy Star seal of approval as well as the ComfortWise designation. Among the energy-efficient features are low-emissivity windows, high-performance heating and cooling systems and tightly sealed air ducts. The neighborhood offers one-third acre home sites and the option of a detached casita. "Big Sky Ranches has both the high Mojave Desert foothills and the colorful Spring Mountain Range in the background," sales director Rob Tuvell said. "This neighborhood is just two miles from Blue Diamond Road, which takes you right into Red Rock Canyon. With these extra big lots, there's room to create wide open spaces in your own back yard. "Or, there's room to build a 500-square-foot detached casita as a guest house or a home office. Big Sky Ranches is the first Southern Nevada community where Pardee has offered this option." Four floor plans are available, and are priced from the mid-$200,000s. Plan One is a single-story residence that can be built with as many as four bedrooms and 2 1/2 baths in 2,600 square feet. It also contains a formal living and dining room, family room and kitchen with a preparation island. A three-bay garage is standard, and a four-bay garage is optional. Also a single-story home is Plan Two, which has four bedrooms and three baths. Highlighted by a courtyard entry, the 3,025-square-foot home comes with a three-bay garage and provides the option of dual owner suites. Plan Three, a two-story home measuring 3,000 square feet, can be expanded to 3,500 square feet with as many as six bedrooms, four baths and an extended bonus room. At 3,000 square feet, Plan Four features four bedrooms, a family room, bonus room and rounded entry with an alcove above. When expanded to 3,800 square feet, it can be built with as many as seven bedrooms and four baths. To tour the model homes, take Interstate 215 to Rainbow Boulevard, head north to Patrick Lane then west to Tenaya Way. The sales office is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily except Monday, when it opens at 11 a.m. Pardee has built homes for more than 21,000 families in Southern Nevada since 1952. The builder is also developing the Rancho Las Palmas master-planned community in the southeastern valley and the Eldorado community in North Las Vegas.
