Levy leads Realtors into 2002
Joanne Levy of Levy Realty was installed as 2002 president of the Greater Las Vegas Association of Realtors during an installation gala on Oct. 20 at The Regent Las Vegas. Levy's theme for her term is: Realtors Shaping the World and One Relationship at a Time. "I chose the theme ... several months before the Sept. 11 act of terrorism against our country, never expecting how prophetic it would become," Levy said. "This last year working to become president, I have learned to appreciate the hard work the (association) staff does every day to keep up with all the changes and the ever-increasing membership." A Las Vegas resident since 1970, Levy has more than 25 years of experience in the local market. She has also served as the association's treasurer and chairperson of several committees. Next year's board of directors also comprises Gayle Brown Fox, president-elect; Lee Barrett, vice president; Patty Kelley, treasurer; Deirdre McGraw Felgar, immediate past president; Lisa Cooper, CI division director; and Gail McQuary, MLS director. Serving as directors are: Harlene Bailey, Honey Borla, Phil Claire, Betty Kincaid, Elaine McNamara, Fafie Moore, Beth Nebeker, Linda Rheinberger and Mike West. The association is an affiliate of the National Association of Realtors.
