Family considers Bella Sera ideal neighborhood at Mountain Falls

Ron and Tanya Mack said they were living in an area that lacked sidewalks and common areas when they decided a community setting with a family atmosphere would better suit their three children, Jenna, 12; Brycen, 9, and Amanda, 7 months. They said they found everything they were looking for at Mountain Falls, a 1,050-acre master-planned golf course community in Pahrump.

"Before we moved to Mountain Falls, the kids had nowhere to play or ride their bikes. They'd pop their tires on the unfinished roads," Tanya said. "We found Mountain Falls and knew it was the perfect place for the kids because of the community amenities and wide open spaces. The pools and fitness center are absolutely beautiful."

Tanya's routine includes talking Amanda for a daily stroll to the community resident facility and back. Located exactly one mile from their home in the William Lyon neighborhood of Bella Sera, the resident facility includes a fitness center, locker rooms, family pool, adult pool, spa, interactive water-play area and resident lounge with a pool table.

The Mountain Falls Grill Room is located in the adjacent clubhouse.

En route to the neighborhood resident facility, Tanya and Amanda pass Mountain Falls Golf Club, an 18-hole parkland-style course that anchors the community.

"Ron is a golfer and he loves that the course is so accessible. It enables him to play quite a bit," said Tanya, who golfed on her high school team. "I haven't golfed in years, but I'm looking forward to going to the driving range with Ron."

Tanya said Ron also enjoys having a home office. He's a healthcare professional who works from home a few days a week.

The couple chose Bella Sera's Plan Two.

The single-story home measures 2,635 square feet and includes four or five bedrooms, 31/2 baths, a three-car garage, great room and formal dining room.

An attached casita in lieu of the third garage bay and fifth bedroom or den in place of the formal dining room, are available options.

The William Lyon single-story neighborhoods of Cascata Ancora, Cascata, Tramonto and Bella Sera at Mountain Falls are priced from the low $200,000s.

Classic Homes, Desert Wind Homes and Celebrate Homes will debut subdivisions shortly. Upon completion, Mountain Falls will feature several neighborhood mini-parks and a 4-mile walking trail.

To visit, travel about 45 miles west on U.S. Highway 160 (Blue Diamond Road) past Interstate 15. Before reaching Pahrump, turn left on Manse Road. Proceed to Hafen Ranch and turn right, then left on Lakeview.

The sales office is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily.
