One of the many benefits of living in the Pardee Homes' neighborhood of Bella Fiore at Lake Las Vegas is the peace and quiet, according to Bill Wright, whose family is settling into their new Bella Fiore home in the lakeside resort community.
"There's not a lot of traffic to deal with," Bill said, "because it is off the beaten path, so we feel much safer when we are out running or bike riding. However, our home is still only a 20-minute commute to work."

The Wright family, which includes Bill whose business is transporting U.S. aerospace equipment, jets and missile guidance systems to exhibitions and trade shows; his wife, Jolena Wright, an accountant at the Bellagio on the Las Vegas Strip, and son Jordan, a 20-year-old student at the University of Nevada Las Vegas, chose Plan Two X at Bella Fiore, a one-story plan that includes a second-floor casita with access from the home's interior courtyard. Jordan makes use of the casita as an apartment.
"He's only got a couple of years left in school, so the casita gives him a little freedom and separation from the rest of the family," Bill said. "We saw another version of this plan at Pardee's Palo Verde neighborhood in Nevada Trails, and were excited to find it at Lake Las Vegas."
Bella Fiore's five floor plans are designed with Mediterranean and Tuscan influences, following the overall theme of Lake Las Vegas.
Floor plans range from 2,822 to 4,376 square feet and feature amenities such as courtyards with optional fireplaces, home offices and an optional casita.
Plan One at Bella Fiore measures 2,822 square feet in a single-story design of four bedrooms, 21/2 baths and a three-car garage.
Plan Two is offered in a single-story design with four bedrooms, 21/2 baths and split three-car garage. Plan Two X adds a second floor with a casita and tech room. Plan Two measures 2,836 square feet while Plan Two X averages 3,214 square feet.
Bella Fiore Plan Three is a 3,959-square-foot, two-story design of four bedrooms, 31/2 baths, a three-car tandem garage, library and bonus room. Plan Four measures up to 4,376 square feet in a two-story design with up to five bedrooms, 31/2 baths and a three-car garage.
Pardee Homes is offering country club memberships at The Club at Lake Las Vegas to home buyers at Bella Fiore, according to Ray Landry, assistant vice president of sales.
Silver memberships include access to swimming pools, tennis courts, fitness centers, concierge service and limited golf at The Falls or Reflection Bay golf courses, as well as the new Rainbow Canyon course set to open in 2008.
In addition, families in the development have access to community amenities such as the lake and marina, pedestrian shopping village, restaurants and community events, according to Landry.
The neighborhood is located alongside The Falls Golf Club near the resort's main entrance. Prices range from $765,450 to $882,450.
The homes have earned the Environmental Protection Agency's Energy Star label, according to independent energy consultants.
Lake Las Vegas Resort is a residential and resort community situated on a privately owned 320-acre lake, located 17 miles from the Las Vegas Strip. Three golf courses, casinos, full-service marinas, water's edge restaurants, cafes and boutiques are situated within the 3,592-acre master plan.
To visit, take Interstate 215, the Las Vegas Beltway east to the freeway's end at Lake Mead Parkway. Continue east on Lake Mead Parkway to Lake Las Vegas Parkway, turn left and follow the directional signs to Bella Fiore, just beyond The Falls Golf Course. The model park is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily, except on Monday when it opens at 11 a.m.
