Thousands enjoy Green Valley festival

Thousands of art lovers attended the recent Green Valley Town Center Art and Craft Festival.

The event transformed the 70-acre complex into an art walk and featured the works of more than 100 artists from Nevada, Arizona, California, Utah, Colorado, New Mexico and Oregon. Paintings, sculpture, pottery, glasswork, photography and jewelry were featured, as well as crafts, soaps and candles.

A Kidz Art Park offered children a variety of hands-on arts and crafts projects, including booths with Halloween tote bags, mural painting, coloring and ceramic painting.

The event also featured music, food sampling, face painting and art demonstrations.

It was sponsored by American Nevada Corp., the developer and property manager of Green Valley Town Center, and organized by local artist Mark Vranesh.
