CORRECTION

Because of incorrect information provided to the Real Estate section, the Mortgage Q. & A. column that appeared in the Oct. 20 edition contained an error. The column should have stated that mortgage interest on a second home used for the sole purpose of rental income is not tax deductible as home mortgage interest, but may be deductible as a business expense off of rental income.

The Real Estate section corrects mistakes. Errors should be brought to the attention of the editor by calling 383-0299.
