Stanpark offers best of two worlds

Residents of Monument at Lone Mountain in northwest Las Vegas appreciate the development's semi-rural setting as well as its proximity to the city.

"It's like a whole different world up here in our neighborhood," resident Norma Edwards said. "It takes me just about the same amount of time to get to and from work as it did from the last house we lived in. But now when I'm home, the city is removed as a lovely view in the distance."

Built by Stanpark Homes, the development consists of two neighborhoods with landscaping and a gated entry.

Plans for a 5-acre park nearing completion include lawns, a playground, barbecues, benches and a gazebo. It will be accessible by pedestrian trails.

"I truly believe the geographic location and environment at Monument have contributed to creating a sense of neighborhood unlike any other development I've been associated with here in Southern Nevada," said Michael Cox, director of sales and marketing for the builder. "It's a real feeling you pick up on when you're inside the community and I love it."

There are eight single- and two-story floor plans.

At The Summit, designs range from 1,379 to 2,461 square feet with as many as four bedrooms and three-car garages. Prices begin in the $150,000s.

The Crescendo homes measure from 1,949 to 3,634 square feet with as many as seven bedrooms and four-car garages. Prices start from the $190,000s.

The builder offers a 10-year homeowner protection plan with all homes.

Special programs for home buyers are offered by the builder, including a no-cost program that helps them sell their current homes and one that offers 1 percent off closing costs with use of an approved lender.

To visit, take U.S. Highway 95 to Cheyenne Avenue, head west to the end of the road, and then go north.

The sales office and models are open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily.

Stanpark Homes has been constructing residential developments for more than 30 years.
