Christopher carries inventory of executive homes

Christopher Homes has a selection of luxury residences that can be ready for move-in within about 30 days, according to Kathy Foley, an executive at the home-building firm.

"As a convenience to buyers who require faster delivery of their new homes, Christopher Homes tries to have a few homes that can be ready for occupancy within a short time frame," Foley said. "This generally includes luxurious homes within our new neighborhoods and elegant custom homes in Southern Nevada's finest master-planned communities. The homes are generally highly upgraded and built on very desirable home sites."

Foley said having a few homes ready for timely move-in helps buyers in the executive-home market, where semicustom and custom homes often take five months or more to build.

"In the luxury-home market, there are generally few opportunities for a fast closing, which leads many buyers to consider purchasing a resale home instead," she said. "We give buyers an opportunity to have the timely move-in date they require, along with the luxury of owning a brand new home by Christopher Homes."

Foley cited four homes the builder recently completed.

At The Villas neighborhood in the guard-gated Southern Highlands Golf Club in the southwestern valley, a Degas design is available. Located on a quiet court, the single-story home features two bedrooms, a study and 2 1/2 baths in 2,460 square feet.

Amenities include a landscaped courtyard and rear yard, covered patio, upgraded flooring, granite counter tops, cherry cabinetry, custom two-tone paint, and a wet bar.

The home is priced at $479,339.

"This beautiful Degas design offers a near turn-key opportunity for its future owner," Foley said.

Altogether, the neighborhood offers seven floor plans ranging from about 2,100 to 3,300 square feet and priced from the high $300,000s to the mid-$800,000s.

Home sites are available with views of the fairways, waterfalls and lakes of the golf course, as well as the city and mountains.

Foley said the buyer of the Degas home will also be provided with a social membership to Southern Highlands Golf Club, upon application approval.

To visit, take Interstate 15 to the Henderson/Lake Mead exit, head west and follow the signs.

At Christopher's Palisades neighborhood in Summerlin, a Michelangelo design is ready for occupancy and comes with many custom features such as an elevator and wine cellar. It measures about 6,200 square feet and offers six bedrooms, a detached casita with a three-quarter bath, a library, hobby room and 5 1/2 baths.

"All of the main-level living areas are conveniently located off a main corridor for easy flow and the home is positioned to maximize the beautiful golf course and mountain views. The inviting family room has a fireplace, a large media center, a wet bar and elegant French doors that open onto the covered rear yard patio. There is also a spacious fireside living room and an elegant dining room that can easily accommodate 12 or more guests," Foley said.

Its island kitchen features granite counter tops with custom tile accents, upgraded maple cabinetry and a butler's pantry. A deck off the master bedroom offers views of the city. The home is priced at $1.084 million.

Now in its final phase, the guard-gated neighborhood is situated along the fairways of the TPC at The Canyons golf course.

Priced from the high $600,000s, the five one- and two-story floor plans range from 3,758 to 6,200 square feet. Home sites in the final phase average about one-quarter acre.

The builder also has a custom home ready for move-in at the gated Terracina Estates neighborhood in the Seven Hills community. The two-story residence comes with four bedrooms, a home office and 5 1/2 baths in 5,243 square feet. The home, which overlooks a golf course, is priced at $1.399 million.

Foley said the home has landscaping in the front and back yards, a circular pool, spa, covered patio and balcony. Each bedroom has a separate bath and all of the first-floor living areas are located off a main corridor.

Amenities include a family room fireplace and wet bar, living room fireplace, marble flooring, cherry cabinetry, and a master suite with a fireplace and wet bar. The island kitchen features granite counter tops, a pantry, serving area between the kitchen and dining room, stainless-steel appliances, and a separate freezer.

Another custom residence is ready at the Barcelona neighborhood within the guard-gated SouthShore community at Lake Las Vegas Resort. Priced at $1.599 million, the 4,784-square-foot design is ready for move-in. The home, located on a view lot, features three bedrooms, 3 1/2 baths, a home office/library, exercise room, wet bar, covered patio, balcony and complete landscaping. There is also a vanishing-edge pool and a spa.

Information on the builder's custom homes is available at the Bellacere neighborhood in Summerlin. To visit, take Summerlin Parkway west to Town Center Drive, go south to Alta Drive, then go east to the main entrance, which is on the left.

Christopher Homes has six active neighborhoods in the valley and a full-service custom-home division.
