Southern Highlands golf course attracts buyers
Adam Springel fell in love with Southern Highlands Golf Club when he was invited to play the championship golf course. Three days later, he and his wife, Stephanie, joined the club even though they still lived in Southern California. "I was so impressed by the quality and beauty of the club and the golf course that I joined even though we lived 250 miles away. Little did I know at the time that we would eventually have the opportunity to move to Las Vegas and build our dream home in Vintage Valley," Adam Springel said. Originally from Michigan, the Springels lived in Southern California for 13 years, where both were employed by a law firm. They have two children and enjoy traveling and playing golf. "What has always appealed to us about Southern Highlands is that the community provides such a comfortable living environment for anyone. Not only are Alec and Claire able to receive a quality education ... but they can also enjoy the parks, playgrounds, golf course and other fun amenities," Stephanie Springel said. Adam Springel said the children especially enjoy playing golf. "My kids are treated like any other member. When I was a kid, most golf courses didn't allow us to play except for very restricted times and always with an adult. At the Southern Highlands Golf Club, children are always welcome to play and are encouraged to participate in the junior golf program. I'm just happy we can give our kids the opportunity to learn a terrific sport right in our back yard," he said. The couple's custom home provides views of the course, as well as the mountains. The two-story home is situated within the guard-gated Estates at Southern Highlands, located in the southwestern valley. Although they have only lived in the community for a short time, they said they already feel right at home. "The Estates at Southern Highlands is certainly one of the most beautiful communities I've seen in Las Vegas. We are fortunate to be a part of such an exceptional community filled with spectacular homes, great views and amenities, an incredible golf course and, most importantly, great neighbors. There is a real sense of community in Southern Highlands," Stephanie Springel said. Custom-home lots measuring from one-half acre to 2 acres are available. They are priced from the $400,000s to more than $1 million. Custom homes start from $1.5 million. To visit, take Interstate 15 to the Henderson/Lake Mead exit, head west and follow the signs.
