Richmond agent combines work, home

Many people jokingly say that they "practically live at their jobs," but for Cynthia Meeks, such is the case. Meeks, a sales agent at Richmond American's Valencia neighborhood, recently moved into her Laguna home in the southwestern valley neighborhood.

"Working with Richmond for the past 3 1/2 years, I had the opportunity to see new homes all over the valley built by Richmond and many other builders as well. But I was the most impressed with these homes at Valencia both because of the unique designs and the investment value. I saw right away that buying a home at Valencia would help me build equity quickly," Meeks said.

"Plus, in my years of working with this company, I know that Richmond American is a builder with character who stands behind the homes they build. I can say that I really love my work and, in a way, the people at Richmond have become sort of an extended family for me now," she said.

"It makes a difference to my clients that I live here," Meeks said. "It shows them, I suppose, that I really put my money where my mouth is. All I can say to them is that I love my home and I love the company. And it was one of the best decisions I've ever made."

Her 2,019-square-foot home offers four bedrooms, 2 1/2 baths, and first-floor formal and casual living spaces. Like other homes in the neighborhood, it features a recessed two-car garage at the rear of the property. The floor plan is priced from the $270,000s.

Three other two-story designs are available. Priced from the $240,000s, the 1,608-square-feet Cambria plan offers three bedrooms upstairs, a kitchen nook, a dining room and great room. The 1,800-square-foot Monticeto, which is priced from the $250,000s, offers a formal living and dining area, kitchen with nook, and a great room. Also available is the Newport, a 2,059-square-foot design priced from the $270,000s that features four bedrooms or three bedrooms with an optional den, and three baths.

To visit, take Interstate 215 to Jones Boulevard and exit south. Go to Robindale Road, head east and follow the signs.

The builder has more than 30 active developments throughout the valley, priced from the low $100,000s to more than $300,000. All models are open daily from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. except Monday and Friday, when they open at noon.
