KB Home hosts neighborhood Halloween

KB Home promotes family-style trick-or-treating during its second annual Street of Screams at Iron Mountain Ranch in northwest Las Vegas.

Scheduled from 5 to 8 p.m. next Friday, the event provides children the opportunity to visit decorated model homes sponsored by local businesses and stocked with candy.

"This is a perfect family event," said Bonnie Hernandez, marketing director of the builder's Las Vegas division. "We have a great neighborhood, loads of candy and fun contests."

Festivities will include a pumpkin pie taste-off for the first 250 visitors at the Mesa series and a costume contest for children 12 and younger. Categories are scariest, funniest and most original costume.

To visit, take U.S. Highway 95 to Ann Road, head east to Jones Boulevard, then go north to Grand Teton Drive. At Grand Teton, turn right and drive to Sterling Moon Avenue.
