Renaissance pool buyers delighted with purchase

When Terry and Addie Schatz were ready to purchase their first in-ground swimming pool, they had a number of concerns.

"We know people who have had gunite pools and experienced problems that involved draining, grinding, resealing and resurfacing," Terry Schatz said. "I knew I didn't want to deal with those issues, so I looked further. Initially, I considered buying a standard fiberglass pool, but I had owned a fiberglass boat in Washington state and every year I had to refinish the hull because of blistering and other water-related problems."

After putting pool-buying plans on hold, Schatz spotted Renaissance Pools & Spas' showroom in North Las Vegas.

"I walked in, discussed my concerns with the sales people, and learned that the ceramic-epoxy design of Renaissance pools was far superior to concrete or common fiberglass," he said. "Based on what they told me that day, I decided that Renaissance was the way to go, and I'm glad I did.

"This is our first pool and I wanted something that would require as little maintenance as possible. The people at Renaissance told me that these pools require less chemicals and maintenance than concrete pools and they were right."

The company is the exclusive dealer for patented ceramic-epoxy pools built by Viking Pools.

Prices for installed pools range from $16,000 to $32,000; financing is available. Discounts are offered to those who install their own pools. Each pool comes with a lifetime manufacturer's warranty.

Showrooms are located at 2180 W. Craig Road in North Las Vegas and at 1245 N. Boulder Highway in Henderson.
