Realty agent happy with Ryland plan
When Rob Rozzen went to visit a Ryland Homes' neighborhood for the first time, he only planned to show it to a client. But, the Las Vegas realty agent liked the model homes he saw so much, he bought one for himself. "In eight years as a (realty agent), I've never seen a builder do everything as well as Ryland does," he said. "I got everything I was looking for in a home." Rozzen and his client became the first two homeowners to get the keys to their homes at the builder's The Cottages at Southern Hills, a gated neighborhood in the southwestern valley. He purchased a two-story, two-bedroom reverse floor plan, which has a kitchen on the second floor, a master suite with a walk-in closet, and a one-car garage. "It's like a minimansion, which is perfect for me. I love the high ceilings and the granite counters," he said. Rozzen used the builder's mortgage company to finance his home. "It was blissful. I dealt with one person the whole time. Everything was done in a day. I knew exactly what my payment was going to be. It was the easiest loan process I've ever been through." Since buying his home, Rozzen has helped many clients purchase homes. "Once I find something I like, I chat it up," he said. "Ryland is on the top of my list." The builder has plans to open 13 neighborhoods offering 40 floor plans throughout the valley. Through its TrueU program, buyers may customize their homes. It offers five neighborhoods at Sunrise Ridge, a master-planned community in southeast Las Vegas. Las Rosa, Posadas, Dorado, Treo and Calarosa feature 19 single- and two-story floor plans ranging from 946 to 3,697 square feet and priced from the low $200,000s to the low $400,000s. In the southwestern valley, the builder offers South Mountain. Its five neighborhoods -- Vicanto, Treo North, Treo South, Talasera and Aviano -- feature 19 one- and two-story floor plans ranging from 1,611 to 4,252 square feet. They are priced from the low $200,000s. The company has been building homes for 37 years.
