Centex Homes debuts four neighborhoods
Centex Homes held a simultaneous grand opening recently at four neighborhoods: Cantura, Terraces and Berkshire Estates in North Las Vegas; and Greenway Crossing in Henderson. "This was by far the biggest grand opening event in Centex Las Vegas' history," Scott Worrall, vice president of sales and marketing, said. "We were amazed at the enthusiastic response from home buyers for this invitation-only event, plus the record-breaking number of sales it generated." The builder said it accepted 122 reservations among the neighborhoods. Four single-story designs are available at Cantura. They range from 1,664 to 1,895 square feet and have as many as five bedrooms and 2 1/2 baths, as well as volume ceilings, oak cabinetry, walk-in closet in the master suite, Roman tub and cultured-marble vanities. Two-story designs are featured at Terraces, where homes measure 1,725 to 2,125 square feet. Plans offer as many as three bedrooms and two baths. Berkshire Estates offers three floor plans, measuring 2,283 to 2,945 square feet. Among the standard features are granite counter tops, walk-in closet in the master suite, cobblestone paver driveways and walkways, and front-yard landscaping. Greenway Crossing offers two-story designs with as many as four bedrooms and three baths. Homes as large as 1,685 square feet are available. Resident amenities include play areas and open spaces, landscaped walking paths and picnic tables. All of the builder's homes are Energy Star certified and meet or exceed the Environmental Protection Agency's standards, Worrall said. Among the energy-saving features are specially engineered heating and cooling systems; low-e windows; weatherstripping on exterior doors; R-13 insulation in exterior walls; insulated raised-panel fiberglass front doors; insulated water heaters; pilotless-ignition furnaces; and water-saving toilets, showerheads and faucets. Buyers who use the builder's preferred lender will receive a free refrigerator, washer and dryer, as well as $1,500 off closing costs. Other neighborhoods offered by the builder are: Mountain Sky in Spring Mountain Ranch; The Enclave, Shadow Crossings, The Ranches, Traditions, Pearl Cove II and Creekside II in North Las Vegas; and Encantada in the southwestern valley. Homes are priced from the mid-$200,000s to the low $400,000s.
