Rancho de Paz plan enchants duo
The openness and welcome feeling of US Home's Crescent design at Rancho de Paz enticed Ofelia and Carlos Elarmo to purchase a home at the North Las Vegas neighborhood. The two, who have lived in several countries while Carlos Elarmo was in the Air Force, previously lived in Sacramento. "We visited Las Vegas frequently and it finally just made sense for us to make the move," he said. In addition, Ofelia Elarmo's sister had recently moved to Southern Nevada. She said they made their decision to move upon entering the floor plan for the first time. "It welcomes you; it invites you to relax and enjoy, and that's exactly what we were looking for. Family and friends are very important to us and we wanted a home that welcomes you the minute you open the door. I could just picture our family gatherings in this home," she said. "The kitchen is great. I love to cook and entertain and our new home will let me do both at the same time." The single-story design, which measures 1,645 square feet, has three bedrooms and a den. Carlos Elarmo said he appreciates the open design and vaulted ceilings. The two said they enjoy morning and evening walks with their dogs, Kona and Sumo. They plan to move into their new home in December. Meantime, both are planning career changes. After a 36-year career with the government, Ofelia Elarmo is completing certification to become a nurse's aid. Carlos Elarmo has become a loan officer. Five one- and two-story designs at the neighborhood range from 1,502 to 2,659 square feet. The open floor plans feature vaulted ceilings, media and art niches, and plant shelves. Prices start from the $200,000s. To visit, take Interstate 15 to Craig Road, go west to Losee Road and head north to Azure Drive. Models are open from 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. daily except Monday, when they open at 11 a.m. The builder also offers homes priced from the $200,000s at its Whisper Willows neighborhood within the Sunrise Ridge community in the southeastern valley. US Home is a member of the Lennar Family of Builders.
