Eleven custom estates on display

MacDonald Highlands, a hillside community in Henderson, is opening its gates today from 1 to 4 p.m. for a special viewing of 11 estate homes. Five of the custom designs are built into the hillsides, four are adjacent to the DragonRidge Country Club, and two abut desert landscaping.

The 6,064-square-foot Kismet home offers a courtyard entry, owner suite with multi-level closets, wet bar, fireplaces, a library and casita. It also includes a double infinity-edge pool with a raised spa, an observation deck with fireplace, and two putting greens. It is priced at $2.499 million.

Dragon's Oasis is a three-story design highlighted by a glass elevator, a theater, wine cellar and library. There are waterfalls in front and back, along with an infinity-edge pool with a swim-up bar. The 8,251-square-foot home is priced at $3.75 million.

The four-bedroom Gregory Manor features a curved staircase, owner suite with a balcony, pantry and granite counter tops in the kitchen, and wine cellar. The 3,892-square-foot home is priced at $1.299 million.

Measuring 6,880 square feet, the five-bedroom El Mirador is designed around a swimming pool, waterfall and pond. A curved stairway or elevator leads to the owner suite. Terraces, butted glass, disappearing walls, home theater and casita are featured. It is priced at $2.7 million.

Desert Embrace is a four-bedroom measuring 5,274 square feet. It features a sunken great room with columns, second great room, owner suite and media room. The design is priced at $1.4 million.

Priced at $1.25 million is Lakeview, a 4,800-square-foot home with four bedrooms including two suites, slate and limestone accents, art niches, a family room, study, water wall in the courtyard, and media room. Most rooms offer views of an infinity-edge pool and the golf course.

The Grandezza features a porte cochere entry and two separate wings with five bedrooms including an upstairs' owner suite. The home measures 5,514 square feet. Highlighted by a backyard pool and spa, the home is priced at $1.95 million.

Measuring 5,639 square feet, Bella Vista features four bedrooms including an owner suite with a retreat, and an upstairs theater. Its living and dining rooms and bar offer views of a backyard pool. It is priced at $1.99 million.

Designed in a Gothic style, the 4,843-square-foot Stone Manor features four bedrooms, a family room, and a loft with a bedroom. Its owner suite and kitchen overlook a backyard swimming pool, terraces and a cooking grotto. It is priced at $1.59 million.

Priced at $1.4 million, the 5,015-square-foot Windsong features five bedrooms including a downstairs owner suite with a fireplace, media room, kitchen with stainless steel appliances and granite counter tops, and courtyard.
