Realtors association installs new slate of officersSPECIAL TO REAL ESTATE
Keeping pace with a progressive local real estate market is the focus of the 2003 president of the Greater Las Vegas Association of Realtors. Gayle Brown-Fox, a broker at Keller Williams Realty, announced her platform at last night's installation gala,, held in the Green Valley Ranch Estancia Ballroom. Her theme: "Realtors: Helping the world find its way home." "Over the years I have watched and participated in an extremely active and evolving real estate market," said Brown-Fox, a 10-year resident of Las Vegas. "It is imperative that we (the association) need to keep our members informed and ready for future change." Brown-Fox has more than 25 years of experience in the real estate market and has been a member of the association since 1993. She has served on several committees and is director for both the Nevada Association of Realtors and the National Association of Realtors. She is also active with the Las Vegas chapter of the Women's Council of Realtors. A new slate of officers was also installed at the event: Lee Barrett is president-elect; Elaine McNamara is vice president; David Talbot is treasurer; Joanne Levy is past president; Renee Ryan-Thrailkill is CI division director; and Devin Reiss is MLS director. The following will serve as directors: JC Arens, Honey Borla, Lisa Cooper, Fafie Moore, Beth Nebeker, Tony Pessini, Judye Phebus, Linda Rheinberger and Mark Stark. The following awards were also presented: Steve Schorr, Citizen of the Year; Ronnie Vause, Realtor of the Year; Fafie Moore, Ronn Reiss Education Award; Levy, Barbara Holland and Kellie Rubin were named to the Hall of Fame; Rosa Herwick, Frank Sala Political Award; Kathy Plann, Affiliate of the Year; and Betty Kincaid, Gene Nebeker Professional Award. The association is an affiliate of the National Association of Realtors.
