MarQuis expands to Nevada with Sorrento

MarQuis Resort Homes' Sorrento neighborhood at Lake Las Vegas Resort is the company's first entry into the Nevada housing market. The builder, a division of Centex Homes, has developed resort-style neighborhoods in California, Colorado and Florida, and plans to expand its operations to include Hawaii.

Sorrento is situated on the northern shore of the resort's 320-acre lake.

"Sorrento is a gated community consisting of 52 fairway homes with exquisite Mediterranean-designed features, completely surrounded by the lush landscaped links of the Jack Nicklaus Signature Reflection Bay Golf Course. Sorrento offers stunning architecture, dramatic ledgestone accents and impeccable finish work," said Gary Gosztonyi, sales and marketing executive for the builder.

Alan Kurtz, a neighborhood resident, agreed.

"Being a real estate broker for more than 40 years in California, I have rarely seen the quality of workmanship at the MarQuis Resort Homes' models. Since the customer has the option of almost complete customization, the heartache and concern of building a new home is eliminated from the shoulders of the buyer," Kurtz said.

Four residential designs are available, three of which are single-story homes.

At 2,993 square feet, the Capri features three bedrooms and 2 1/2 baths. Buyers can choose the option of an exercise room, an additional bedroom or a guest casita. The home is priced from $677,000.

The Asti floor plan contains three bedrooms, including a master suite, plus 3 1/2 baths. Options include an exercise or media room, casita or an additional bedroom. It is priced from $723,000 and measures 3,402 square feet.

There are three bedrooms in the Trento, including a 24-by-15-foot master suite, as well as 3 1/2 baths. Additional options include a casita, media room, exercise room or expanded bedroom. The home measures 3,730 square feet and is priced from $783,000.

At 4,294 square feet, the two-story Vento is the largest plan available. Among the options available is a curved staircase, as many as five bedrooms, 4 1/2 baths, a casita, wine tasting room, media room and an exercise room. The price starts from $885,000.

All homes include a landscaped front yard, courtyard entry, covered patio, premium cabinetry, fireplace with cast-stone surrounds, and dining room with a walk-in wine or china closet.

Each buyer receives membership to the South-Shore Yacht and Beach Club, and the option to choose from several levels of golf club memberships.

To visit, take Interstate 515 to Lake Mead Drive and head east to Lake Las Vegas Parkway. Or, take Interstate 215 to Lake Las Vegas Parkway. The sales office is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily.

The 2,600-acre Lake Las Vegas Resort in Henderson offers a variety of residential options, and is planned to include resort hotels, as many as six golf courses, shopping and spas.
