CB Richard Ellis donates to Lied Institute's research program

CB Richard Ellis recently donated $11,000 to the Lied Institute for Real Estate Studies at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. The donation, earmarked for the Institute's research program, was the result of CB Richard Ellis' Market Watch 2002.

"We are grateful to CB Richard Ellis for this donation and their ongoing support," said Debra March, executive director of Lied Institute. "These funds will help launch our research program, which will become an important part of the services we provide the real estate community."

According to John Knott, managing director of the Las Vegas office of CB Richard Ellis, the donation was made possible through the help of Market Watch sponsors American Nevada Corp., City of Henderson, DP Partners, EJM Development Co., First American Title Co., Greenspun Media Group, Harsch Investment Properties, Majestic Realty Co., Nevada Title Co., The Howard Hughes Corp., and XEROX.

The Lied Institute supports courses in the university's college of business that lead to bachelor's degrees in real estate. It also offers scholarships, internships, executive and continuing education, roundtable discussions, the Commercial Real Estate Certification program, and the Certified Graduate Builder program.

CB Richard Ellis is one of the largest commercial real estate services firms in Las Vegas. In 2001, the office recorded more than $500 million in commercial real estate transactions and has been responsible for more than $2 billion in commercial real estate transactions locally during the past four years.
