Kiosk prominent in Summerlin marketing planSPECIAL TO REAL ESTATE
A new drive-up information kiosk was recently erected on Charleston Boulevard, just west of Town Center Drive near Interstate 215. The kiosk, which is lighted for 24-hour access, provides prospective home buyers and others seeking information with an overview of the master-planned community. Maps detailing the active neighborhoods and amenities are available for visitors. Most of the community's home buyers get their information online, according to Larry Brocato, executive vice president for the developer, The Howard Hughes Corp. Information can be found by visiting www.reviewjournal.com/realestate and clicking on the Summerlin link. "The kiosk serves another purpose by providing information to those who find themselves in Summerlin without having first visited the Web site," Brocato said. "It's a great tool for spontaneous and impromptu visits to the community." Signage directing visitors to the kiosk is under installation throughout the community. The kiosk's images and displays depict the community's master plan; its proximity to Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area; amenities such as schools, parks, golf courses, trails and shopping centers; and cultural, social and educational enrichment opportunities. "Changing times and technology have dictated a smarter and better way of doing business," Brocato said. "We're proud that Summerlin, America's best-selling master-planned community for the past decade, is continuing to evolve as a community for the 21st century." Developed by Hughes Corp., Summerlin has ranked as the nation's best-selling master-planned community for 10 of the past 11 years, according to independent surveys by Robert Charles Lesser & Co. Situated along the western rim of the Las Vegas Valley, the community is home to eight golf courses, 107 neighborhood and village parks, nearly 107 completed miles of trails, 16 schools, houses of worship, shopping centers, medical facilities, cultural facilities, business parks and nearly 120 model homes. Home styles include single-family homes, townhomes and condominiums. Prices start from the low $200,000s to more than $700,000. Custom-home sites are priced from the high $500,000s to more than $1 million. Predesigned custom homes are priced from $2.1 million. Apartments offer monthly rents starting from the low $800s.
