Prudential, Americana walks for charity

Prudential, Americana Group, Realtors recently joined in the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer walk.

Beginning at JW Marriot, more than 100 agents and employees walked the 3.4-mile course and raised more than $6,000 for the cause. Since 2000, the group has raised more than $14,000 and volunteered 175 hours.

"Many of us are walking this year to do our part to protect the ones we love, in hopes of one day soon finding a cure for this horrible disease," company executive Mark Stark said.

"We've experienced the impact of breast cancer directly in our Prudential, Americana Group, Realtors family," events coordinator Pat Tyrell said. "It is always an amazing feeling of pride to see these extremely busy people come together on a Saturday and contribute their time and money."
