Cottonwood townhomes open in northeast valley
Chartered Homes' Cottonwood on Alexander townhome development celebrated its grand opening last month, and the first phase of homes has been selling quickly, according to the builder. "The reception from new home buyers for our new affordable community has been amazing," sales agent Kathi Karcher said. "They have been waiting for an affordable, well-built, new community in this area and Cottonwood has become the new home of choice." The development has the same models as the builder's Cottonwood at Sunrise Mountain development; three floor plans are featured, ranging from 1,283 to 1,429 square feet. "Home buyers are coming to us knowing about the strong reputation we had at the other Cottonwood community," Karcher said. "Now you have your choice of locations. ... Both locations have the same models that Southern Nevada home buyers love." The 1,283-square-foot Aspen plan features two bedrooms, two baths and an attached single-car garage. It is priced from $119,400. Measuring 1,418 square feet is the Birch home, which features two bedrooms, 2 1/2 baths, a den and attached two-car garage. It is priced in the mid-$120,000s. The largest is the 1,429-square-foot Cedar, which features three bedrooms, 2 1/2 baths and an attached two-car garage. It is priced in the high $120,000s. To visit, take Interstate 15 to Craig Road, go east to Pecos Road, turn south to Alexander Road, turn left and follow the signs. The sales office is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily.
