Nevada Trails' plans satisfies families

Families are finding Pardee Homes' Nevada Trails the ideal place to call home, said Ray Landry, assistant vice president of sales for Pardee Homes of Nevada.

Two generations of the Toland family from Iowa recently bought homes at the southwestern valley community.

"We are honored that this family has chosen to live in our family-oriented community," Landry said. "Pardee has planned Nevada Trails to appeal to families of all sizes and all ages."

Gary and Nancy Toland purchased a Plan Two home in the Saddle Peak neighborhood, and their son Ryan purchased a Plan Four Manzanita home.

"Just to live down the street from my Mom and Dad is awesome. The house itself is a good value, but you can't put a price on being able to drive home every night through the palm tree-lined and landscaped entry to our neighborhood," said first-time home buyer Ryan Toland, a director of compliance for a local resort.

"I know the difference between quality and nonquality, and Pardee has a well-deserved reputation for quality," said Gary Toland, an insurance executive who also has been the general contractor in building four of the family's homes.

He and his wife, a triage nurse, praised the builder's customer service responsiveness and the ease of working with its loan representatives.

"When completed, Nevada Trails will include more than 23 acres of parks and trails. In addition to that, there are several recreation sites planned for the nearby area, including golf courses and a major regional park," Landry said.

The community also is site of The Ultimate Family Home, which will be featured as the show home during the 2004 International Builders Show in Las Vegas. The home will be a Zero Energy Home that generates as much energy as it uses.

All homes within the community are built for energy efficiency and feature the Environmental Protection Agency's Energy Star label and the ComfortWise designation. They have been independently certified to be at least 30 percent more energy efficient than federal standards require.

Eleven of the designs available in the community's three neighborhoods are featured in a model park.

The gated Saddle Peak neighborhood offers three single-story designs priced from $306,200. They measure from 2,565 to 3,025 square feet and feature as many as five bedrooms, three baths and three-car garages.

Four designs ranging from 1,429 to 2,566 square feet are offered at Manzanita. Homes have as many as five bedrooms, two to three baths, and two- or three-car garages, and are priced from $207,950.

The Silver Tree neighborhood offers four floor plans that range from 2,000 to 3,844 square feet. Priced from $253,950, the designs feature as many as seven bedrooms, four baths, and two- or three-car garages.

To visit, take Interstate 215 to Rainbow Boulevard, go one mile south to Robindale Road and turn right. The sales center and models are open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily except Monday, when they open at 11 a.m.

Pardee has built homes for more than 25,000 families in Southern Nevada since 1952.
