ANNIVERSARY: Anthem turns 5

SPECIAL TO REAL ESTATE

Festivities are planned this weekend at the Anthem master-planned community, which marks its fifth anniversary this year.

Events are planned from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. both today and Sunday at Sun City Anthem's model village in Henderson.

"We invite everyone to come and enjoy the party," said Jim Bond, Sun City Anthem sales manager. "We're proud of the entire Anthem community, including Sun City Anthem, Solera at Anthem, Anthem Country Club and Pulte's new Anthem Highlands."

The event at the model village, which showcases 12 floor plans, will feature entertainment, refreshments and giveaways. The homes range from 1,496 to 3,175 square feet. Homes are priced from the mid-$230,000s to more than $500,000.

"It's been a fantastic five years," Bond said. "We've had more than 4,000 home sales at Sun City Anthem since we first opened in 1998. In addition, we've added two new communities in Anthem, Solera at Anthem for active adults, and Anthem Highlands, which is open to all ages."

Also within the community, Solera at Anthem offers tours of its model homes, which are also within an age-qualified setting. Four models range from 1,140 to 1,771 square feet. Home plans are priced from the high $180,000s to the $250,000s.

Guests may visit Anthem Country Club, where the final new home sites have been released for sale. Select homes within the model home complex are also for sale. Prices start from the high $400,000s to more than $1 million. Amenities within the country club include an athletic club and equity golf course.

Anthem Highlands by Pulte Homes offers homes for all ages. Priced from the mid-$200,000s to more than $500,000, it provides 18 new models and 20 total floor plans. The community is located at the corner of Bicentennial and Anthem Parkway, west of Solera at Anthem.

Additionally, grand opening activities for the new Anthem Hills Park are scheduled today from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. The 55-acre park is located at 2256 Reunion Drive off Anthem Parkway.

A public/private partnership with the city of Henderson, Del Webb donated the land and contributed $7.5 million for its development.

"We believe Anthem Hills Park will enhance the quality of life for all Henderson residents," Del Webb President Chris Haines said.

To visit the community, take Eastern Avenue south, past St. Rose Parkway, to Anthem Parkway and follow the signs. Models are open daily from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
