Aliante residents enjoy time spent in the great outdoors

In light of the recent cooler weather, residents at the Aliante community have participated in more recreation, according to Dan Naef, senior vice president for developer North Valley Enterprises.

Outdoor amenities include facilities for soccer, basketball, tennis, volleyball, bocce, horseshoe pitching, biking and walking. Naef believes activities such as these are essential for social interaction at the master-planned community in North Las Vegas.

"This means building more than just houses and neighborhoods for people to live in," he said. "It means fostering a pleasant lifestyle by providing facilities where people of all ages can enjoy outdoor activities and interaction with their neighbors."

Deer Springs Park, measuring 10 acres, and the 15-acre Aviary Park have both been completed, and accompany the 20-acre Nature Discovery Park. All feature fields, ball courts and play areas.

The community's second phase, which features homes among 13 neighborhoods, just opened. Prices range from the high $100,000s to the high $600,000s.

North Valley Enterprises is an affiliate of American Nevada Co. and Del Webb.

Encompassing 1,905 acres, the community consists of an all-ages village and an age-qualified village, Sun City Aliante. Collectively, they will have as many as 7,500 homes with an anticipated population of about 20,000.

Builders are Astoria Homes, Del Webb, D.R. Horton, KB Home, Lennar, Meritage Homes, Pardee Homes, Pulte Homes and US Home.

To visit the community, take U.S. Highway 95 to the Interstate 215 east exit. Proceed to the Aliante Parkway exit then go south.
