Lots vary at MacDonald Highlands

MacDonald Highlands offers a golf membership to DragonRidge Country Club with the purchase of a custom lot within one of four select neighborhoods at the guard-gated community in Henderson.

Buyers can choose custom-home sites ranging from one-half acre to more than 5 acres within the Palisades, Lairmont, Dragon Gate and Glenbrook Canyon neighborhoods.

Golf membership to the country club is based upon application approval.

Palisades is located within the highest elevations of the community and its lots are well-suited for terraced, multilevel homes. Sites range from 1.5 to 2.5 acres and are priced from $1.5 million.

Sixteen home sites are featured in the gated, 12-acre Lairmont neighborhood. The lots are designed for single-story and multilevel homes, and align the golf course. They range from .52 to .76 acres and are priced from $900,000.

Dragon Gate features 12 hillside lots on one street. The upper hillside will be left in its natural state to accommodate challenging architecture, while the lower hillside will have stepped lots, according to the developer. Designed for multilevel homes, the sites measure from one-half acre to three-quarters of an acre. They are priced from $800,000 to $1 million.

The gated Glenbrook offers 14 home sites within a canyon setting. Buyers may choose mountaintop or hillside lots, which range from .84 to 5.65 acres and are priced from $950,000 to $3.5 million.

Situated in the McCullough range, the 1,200-acre community will include three parks encompassing about 10 acres with tennis, basketball and volleyball courts, play areas and picnic facilities. Five miles of fitness trails also are planned.

Central to the country club is a private golf course, which blends in with the community's natural surroundings. A grand opening for the clubhouse is planned.

To visit the information center at 1730 W. Horizon Ridge Parkway, Suite 100, take Interstate 215 to Valle Verde Drive and go south to the northwest corner of Valle Verde and Horizon Ridge. The sales center is open daily.
