Siena residents announce engagement

Wedding ceremony to be held lakeside within community

Siena residents Mike Ives and Jennie Hill plan to marry Nov. 19 within the age-qualified village. The couple will say "I do" on a walkway that overlooks a lake along the community's golf course.

"Jennie and I met at a social event that a friend of ours was hosting at the Siena Golf Club in August 2004," Ives said. "We began dating and one thing lead to another. About three months ago, I asked for her hand in marriage."

The couple recently purchased a resale home in the community.

"We each had a home of our own, however, they both recently sold with generous appreciations which allowed us to purchase a home together around the same time we became engaged," Ives said.

Ives and Hill were drawn to Siena for many reasons.

"We enjoy the quite and sophisticated lifestyle that Siena offers," Ives said. "We love the Tuscan theme, the grounds are impeccably maintained, the staff is top-notch and the amenities are unparalleled."

When they are not busy at their jobs -- Hill works in law enforcement and Ives is a handyman -- the couple enjoy the recreational amenities.

"Jennie and I have been enjoying the pools, and Jennie is a regular at the health and fitness center. We both love dancing and we are looking forward to participating in the dance clubs that are available. We also plan on working on our golf games when the time permits."

Roughly 25 new homes remain for sale. Each comes with a landscaped front yard, window shutters, garages with floor coatings and cabinets, appliances packages and upgraded granite counter tops.

All homes are single story, and measure from 1,040 to nearly 3,200 square feet. Prices start from the $400,000s to $1 million.

"A few of the remaining homes are located on beautiful golf course home sites, and a handful are from our popular Villa collection. In addition, we continue to showcase our three fully furnished models that are all available for purchase with or without the furnishings," sales executive Jimmy Jones said.

The 665-acre village is home to the Siena Golf Club, a public facility open to golfers of all ages. Siena residents receive preferred rates and tee times. The course is accessed just outside the community's guard-gated entry.

The health and fitness center features an indoor pool and spa, as well as an outdoor pool and spa, plus lighted tennis and bocce courts. It is equipped with cardiovascular and weight-training equipment, and also contains an exercise room, saunas, steam rooms, a alon and day spa.

The central amenity is a social center, which has a ballroom, computers, painting facility, sewing and quilting center, an area for fine arts and ceramics, a music room and game rooms. It also features a business center, meeting rooms and a library.

To visit, take Flamingo Road or the Las Vegas Beltway west to Town Center Drive, go south to Siena Monte Avenue and turn left. The sales office is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily.
