Construction workers at The Residences at MGM Grand topped off the first of three 40-story condominium-hotel towers last week, bringing its high-rise luxury lifestyle on the Strip a step closer to completion. The project, a joint venture between MGM Grand and developer Turnberry Associates, combines a condominium project with the amenities of a resort hotel.
Construction began on the first tower in October 2004 with completion slated for June 2006. Each tower will have 576 residences.

The first two towers are sold out; sales are under way for the third.
Buyers may choose from studio, one- or two-bedroom suites. Prices start from $550,000 to more than $2.5 million.
Each unit offers crown molding, raised-panel doors, high-speed voice/data connectivity, granite counter tops, Italian kitchen cabinetry and private owners' closets. Other appointments include Sub-Zero refrigerators, Miele appliances, baths with spa tubs and flat-screen HDTVs.
Residents will have access to the amenities of MGM Grand including its casino, five swimming pools, day spa, restaurants and shopping outlets.
Each tower will feature a 24-hour front desk and concierge, in-suite dining and a guarded entrance. In addition, residents can enjoy the fitness centers and swimming pools.
A sales office with a two-bedroom model residence is open from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily in MGM Grand's Studio Walk.
