Newcomers made to feel `at home' at Echo Canyon
Stacy and Gavin Fenton, with their son, Jeter James, moved to Las Vegas in February because of a job transfer, and recently decided on a home at Richmond American's Echo Canyon neighborhood in the northwestern valley. "We chose Richmond because they have a good reputation," Stacy Fenton said. Receiving quality customer service was important to the Fentons, who said their expectations were exceeded. "Being a homeowner in Salt Lake (City) added experience in what to expect from the home-buying process," Gavin Fenton said. A large part of their positive experience was at the builder's design center. "The best part was choosing everything. We had no idea where to begin, and (our designer) helped us see what went together. She was very experienced," Stacy Fenton said. The neighborhood offers five floor plans. The Fentons chose the 1,638-square-foot Windam, which has three bedrooms, 2 1/2 baths, a loft, living room and separate dining room. A bedroom in place of the loft is optional. The home is priced from the $310,000s. Another plan is the 1,415-square-foot Pembroke, a three-bedroom, 2 1/2-bath home. The master bath has an oval tub and cultured-marble sinks. It is priced from the $300,000s. The Amherst design, priced from the $260,000s, contains dual master suites, 2 1/2 baths, a living room, tech center and laundry room. The 1,384-square-foot Concord includes two bedrooms, a den, 2 1/2 baths, and a family room. It is priced from the $280,000s. At 1,443 square feet, the Hampton model, priced from the $280,000s, offers two bedrooms, 2 1/2 baths and a loft. To visit, take Interstate 215 to Cheyenne Avenue and go west to Cliff Shadows Parkway. Proceed to Gowan Road and turn east. The sales office is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily except Friday, when it opens at noon.
