Richmond American: First new home

SPECIAL TO REAL ESTATE

Although Ryan and Lella Lantz are new to Las Vegas, they are not new to Richmond American Homes. Ryan Lantz works for the builder, and the couple recently purchased their first new home at its Sterling Court II subdivision.

"As an employee of Richmond American, I see how important professionalism and commitment are to the company. Each of us takes pride in our piece of the puzzle, and can feel good about what we are presenting to our home buyers," Lantz said. "It was great to be on the receiving side of the process and see that Richmond provides superior service to our customers, employees included."

Lella Lantz agreed.

"Our sales staff was extremely helpful," she said. "They were eager to answer any questions Ryan or I had, and always followed up with both of us if they couldn't answer it on the spot."

Sterling Court II is located in the southwestern valley and comprises four two-story floor plans, ranging from 1,357 to 1,933 square feet. Buyers can choose an exterior color scheme. Two-car garages are standard.

The Lantzes selected the Summer model with three bedrooms. It is priced from the $290,000s.

"The vaulted ceilings and the balcony overlooking the living area give a real openness and roomy feeling to the house," Lella Lantz said of her new 1,418-square-foot home.

Options include a loft and/or a bonus room.

At 1,357 square feet, the Spring floor plan can be built with three bedrooms and 2 1/2 baths. It includes a living room, dining room, and an upstairs laundry room adjacent to the secondary bedrooms. The home is priced from the $280,000s.

The Winter model is also priced from the $280,000s. The three-bedroom home includes 2 1/2 baths, a formal dining room, and kitchen nook. The master bedroom has a walk-in closet and an oval tub. A retreat is optional.

The Fall is a flexible design, and can measure 1,645 to 1,933 square feet with as many as five bedrooms. It provides a combined living and dining area, as well as a family room and nook. An upstairs bonus room is optional with this design, which is priced from the $310,000s.

To visit, take Interstate 215 to Jones Boulevard then go south to Santoli Avenue. The sales office is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily except Friday, when it opens at noon.

The builder, a subsidiary of MDC Holdings, has more than 30 neighborhoods under development in the Las Vegas Valley.
