Aliante's Phase Two marks debut; free circus performances on tap

SPECIAL TO REAL ESTATE

Today's debut of phase two at Aliante will be celebrated in grand style with dozens of new model homes, the opening of two new parks, and free performances by the American Crown Circus.

"The opening of our second phase will bring home buyers a wider selection of floor plans than ever before, including homes that are located along the fairways of the Aliante Golf Club," said Dan Naef, a representative of North Valley Enterprises, developer of Aliante, a master-planned community in North Las Vegas.

"It will be a great time to come out, select your favorite model and home site, and take advantage of the competitive introductory pricing our builders are offering."

Family-oriented festivities are planned from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Circus performances are scheduled at 11 a.m., noon and 1 p.m. Free tickets will be available on a first-come, first-served basis at the registration booth beginning at 10 a.m.

Other planned activities are games, giveaways, and opportunities to register for prize drawings. A disc jockey will provide additional entertainment.

Naef said he expects a large turnout.

"Since the beginning, Aliante has surpassed all of our expectations, from the number of home sales to the popularity of our recreational amenities and the many community events we've hosted. Aliante has emerged as one of the most vibrant master-planned communities in Southern Nevada."

To attend the celebration, take U.S. Highway 95 to the Interstate 215 east exit. Proceed to the Aliante Parkway exit then go south.

The new phase will feature 13 neighborhoods built by Astoria Homes, Del Webb, D.R. Horton, Meritage Homes, KB Home, Lennar, Pardee Homes, Pulte Homes and US Home.

Encompassing 1,905 acres, the community has an all-ages village and an age-qualified village, Sun City Aliante.

The residences are priced from the high $100,000s to the high $600,000s. About 7,500 residences are planned.

Nearly 430 acres are designated for recreational and public purposes including the golf course, 20-acre Nature Discovery Park, more than 20 miles of trails, and an arroyo. Plans also call for two elementary schools, one of which is scheduled to open in spring 2005, as well as a middle school.

About 100 acres are allocated for commercial development, including retail and business centers, restaurants, and a 40-acre resort with gaming.

North Valley Enterprises is an affiliate of American Nevada Co. and Del Webb.

Aliante's information center is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily.
