MacDonald Highlands open house showcases million-dollar homes
MacDonald Highlands is hosting an open house this afternoon that will showcase five luxury homes within the gated community in Henderson. The open house, which runs from 1 to 4 p.m. today, feature five residences in the community's Highlands and Lochmere neighborhoods. The featured homes measure from 4,518 to 5,274 square feet and are priced from $1,399,000 to $1,795,000. "This is a grand opportunity for the public to stop by and view these magnificent new homes, which offer the finest in luxury living," said Rich MacDonald, president of MacDonald Cos., the developer of MacDonald Highlands. "We are happy to host this event with ... other realty companies in order to showcase these fine homes." The Highlands neighborhood, which will be home to the 2002 Street of Dreams luxury-home tour, offers hillside and traditional flat custom lots, and city and mountain views. One of the featured homes backs to the fairway of the par-4 sixth green of the DragonRidge Golf Course, with the course's palm tree-lined lake and waterfall nestled in between. Upon buildout, the community will feature about 560 luxury residences in 17 planned neighborhoods. Custom lots are available with city, mountain and golf course views and measure from one-third acre to more than 2 acres. Lots are priced from $160,000 to more than $2 million. The neighborhoods are built around DragonRidge Golf and Country Club. Designed by Jay Morrish and David Druzisky, the course incorporates the natural slopes of the surrounding McCullough Mountains. A clubhouse, which is in the planning stages, will feature a golf shop, exercise facility and swimming pool. A temporary clubhouse is open, with tee times available. To visit, take Interstate 215 to Valle Verde Drive, turn south, and proceed to Horizon Ridge Parkway.
