Condo reservations still accepted at MonteLago
MonteLago Village at Lake Las Vegas Resort continues to take reservations for condominiums at Viera, but time is running out to be a part of the development, according to sales and marketing executive Sherri O'Boyle. "Because there are a limited number of these condominiums, we want everyone to know how important it is to make a reservation at this time," O'Boyle said. "Without a reservation, it will be difficult for a buyer to have the opportunity to select the resort condominium they want and certainly not at these preferred pricing levels." O'Boyle said response to the Henderson development has been impressive. "We have had a very exciting response to our Limited Priority Reservation Program, which has been in effect for about a month," she said. "We continue to encourage people who want to be a part of MonteLago Village to visit or call immediately so they don't miss out on this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity." Viera is the village's first residential offering and scheduled to open in winter 2002. Floor plans range from furnished studios to three-bedroom residences. Prices start from the mid-$200,000s at the development, which offers views of the village as well as the resort's hillsides and 320-acre lake. Viera is planned to include gardens, fountains, a courtyard and grand pool deck. Homeowners will receive preferred tee time privileges at the resort's Tom Weiskopf-designed golf course scheduled to open next year; preferred rates at select restaurants, boutiques and the spa; and concierge service. Also available to residents will be a fitness center, media center, library and valet parking. MonteLago Village is a development of Intrawest, which holds interests in village-centered resorts nationwide. The company is developing the project in coordination with Ritz-Carlton Hotel Co.; Cook Inlet Region Inc.; and Transcontinental Properties Inc., the developer of Lake Las Vegas Resort. "The many facets of MonteLago Village will offer something for everyone," O'Boyle said. "It is the perfect place for families to spend an exciting and memory-filled vacation, for couples to have a romantic weekend away from it all, or for folks of all ages to fish, sail, swim, golf, hike or bike around the village and lake area. It is a great recreational retreat." MonteLago Village is planned to include a 350-room Ritz-Carlton Hotel, a spa, casino, shops, lakeside cafes and bistros, art galleries, and a pedestrian-only experience. "The boutiques and shops at MonteLago Village will be one of a kind," O'Boyle said. "Owners of the village's boutiques will make or select, from around the world, items of impeccable quality, distinctive style and incredible beauty." Also featured will be bars and restaurants with terraces that overlook the waterfront and the village courtyard. Dining options will include a Tuscan-style pizzeria, Middle Eastern cuisine and intimate dining. Also planned is an oyster and vodka bar, a wine grotto, and outdoor entertainment. A stone bridge will span the harbor at Lake Las Vegas, a $5 billion residential, golf and destination resort. To visit, take Interstate 515 to Lake Mead Drive and head east to Lake Las Vegas Parkway. Or, take Interstate 215 to Lake Las Vegas Parkway. The information office is open daily from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
