Resort amenities highlight Red Rock lifestyle

Resort-style amenities such as golf, tennis, swimming and fine dining can be found at Red Rock Country Club in Summerlin.

"Surrounded by one of the most beautiful natural areas in the American Southwest, Red Rock Country Club is a quiet, private retreat for homeowners that also features the recreational amenities of a luxury resort," Kevin Stall, vice president of sales, said.

Central to the community's social and recreational activities is a 44,000-square-foot clubhouse, which offers city and mountain views. Dining facilities are available, as is a meeting room.

The clubhouse also features a pro shop and locker rooms with saunas, steam rooms, lounges and media centers.

Adjacent to the facility is a sports club offering exercise equipment, saunas, steam rooms, an aerobics studio, massage therapy rooms, locker rooms and a supervised children's play center. Also featured is an outdoor aquatic center with pools, spa, splash-and-spray minipark and grill.

Tennis players have access to nine lighted, hard-surface courts, including a stadium court.

Golfers can play on one of two planned 18-hole courses highlighted by canyons, lakes, waterfalls and streams. A practice facility with a driving range, putting green and chipping areas also is featured.

The guard-gated community is located in the foothills of the Spring Mountains, near Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area. Upon completion, it will consist of 1,116 homes, many located along the golf course.

The one- and two-story designs offer as many as six bedrooms and four-car garages. They range from 2,100 to 5,300 square feet and are priced from the $350,000s to more than $2 million.

Options include casitas, courtyards with fireplaces, sit-down wet bars, and master bedroom retreats with media niches and fireplaces. Buyers may also request structural changes, room re-configurations or additions, swimming pools, upgraded landscaping, and patio and lighting designs.

Custom-home sites ranging from 15,000 to 20,000 square feet are available in The Estates, a gated neighborhood of 86 custom homes within the community. Prices range from $315,000 to $500,000.

To visit, take Sahara Avenue west past Town Center Drive and follow the signs. Or, take Interstate 215 to Sahara and head west. Models are open daily from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Sunrise Colony Co. is also developing Siena, an age-qualified community in Summerlin.
