Prudential raises funds for cancer fight

More than 50 people supported Prudential Americana Group, Realtors in the recent "Making Strides Against Breast Cancer" walk. More than $4,000 was raised.

"Seeing all the crowds of people walking for the same cause was both powerful and emotional," said Pat Tyrell, the realty firm's event organizer. "It is always good to see people participating in a worthy cause, and Prudential Americana Group, Realtors is proud to have joined together to support breast cancer research. Perhaps this is the year a cure will be found."

Janet Koressel, who works out of the company's Green Valley office, was among those who joined the walk.

"I was a cancer victim for a few months ... but a cancer survivor because of research and walks such as October Fifth. My journey was, and continues to be, a journey of hope."
