Solera organizes community association

Solera at Anthem, Del Webb's new age-qualified community in Henderson, recently organized its community association.

"Our goal is to help develop the lifestyle residents want and expect, as well as to protect the integrity of the entire new-home community," association manager Karla Pearson-Call said.

Among the association's responsibilities is to provide amenities such as the community's tennis courts, swimming pool, bocce courts and fitness center. While the tennis and bocce courts are complete, other facilities, including the recreation center, will begin construction late next year and are expected to be completed in summer 2005.

"We also organize social events, clubs and fitness opportunities," she said.

The association is also responsible for the community's codes, covenants and restrictions, as well as for managing common areas, landscaping features and design guidelines.

Currently, the association is being managed by Del Webb Management Co.

"As the community grows, residents become more active in its operation. For example, when the community reaches 75 percent of buildout, the board of directors will primarily be made up of homeowners, all of whom are elected by residents of Solera," she said.

Pearson-Call has worked for the builder for more than 13 years, most recently as activities director at Sun City Anthem.

Located within the Anthem master plan, Solera will have 1,750 homes upon completion.

All homes will have energy-saving features including integrated wiring, low-e windows, a cocoon insulation system, and heating and cooling sealants that exceed Energy Star requirements.

Floor plans measure from 1,140 to 1,771 square feet. Prices range from the mid-$180,000s to the mid-$240,000s.

To visit, take Eastern Avenue south to Anthem Parkway, turn left and proceed to Somersworth Drive. The office is open daily from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
