CREATIVITY AND COMMUNITY: Summerlin puts spotlight on art The public may enjoy a "feast of visual and performing arts" at next weekend's Summerlin Art Festival, according to Kim Haley, a marketing executive for The Howard Hughes Corp., developer of the master-planned community. The festival, she said, brings the La Strada dell'Arte and Celebration of the Arts together for a grand event that appeals to a broad audience. Now, work is under way for the next phase, a 200,000-square-foot project that encompasses two additional independent-living apartment buildings, six villas, a performing arts center, assisted-living center and skilled-nursing complex with private rooms, a pool enclosure, and covered parking.
