Unique garages shown at Rhodes Ranch
The builder of The Collection, a neighborhood at Rhodes Ranch, invites home buyers to see a pair of "celebrity garages," one designed by comedian George Wallace, and another designed by local entertainer Gordie Brown. The display, which ends tomorrow, is geared toward community visitors touring the model homes. Both performers provided personal memorabilia for the garage they designed. Brown supplied some guitars and a tribute to Elvis Presley. "I'm blown away at how this garage turned out," said Brown, who appears in a local casino and mixes comedy and impressions with music. "It's designed exactly the way I would have dreamed." Wallace created a contemporary retreat with his garage, complete with his trademark line "I be thinkin'" shown throughout. The Collection features 11 different models with floor plans ranging from 1,467 to 4,138 square feet. To visit, take Interstate 215 to Durango Drive and go south.
