Sleight-of-hand illusionist Collin Foster headlines the event, which begins at 7 p.m. in the community's social center.
Foster's show features close-to-the-audience street magic.
The young magician said his claim to fame is that he is the only illusionist that is barred from gambling at card tables in Nevada casinos.
The show's other acts will include comedians and impersonators. Admission is free.
"The evening promises to be a memorable one for our residents, something they'll be talking about for a long time," said Jillian Lura, marketing manager for Centex Homes.
"The activities we host at Ardiente are about bringing people together in a relaxed environment. Magic & Mic Night is one of those settings where you can see your neighbors and friends in a whole new light."
The age-qualified community hosts a major event about every other week. Events offer entertainment and recreation, as well as information and enrichment, such as the recent Health and Fitness Fair and the Finance and Investment Expo. Other hosted occasions are seasonal, with ice cream socials throughout the summer and holiday parties throughout the year.
Additionally, on-site staff organizes outings to local sights, as well as special events, crafts and fitness classes. Residents are presented with a choice of activities daily.
"What we organize is driven by the input of our members, so there's something to suit all of their tastes," Lura said.
The guard-gated property includes six themed parks, including the Rose Garden, a dog-walking area and sports courts. These ground amenities are connected by a trail system with a series of exercise and pet stations.
"Ardiente's amenities are something homeowners might find in a large master plan, but with just 788 residences, there's more of a sense of intimacy and ownership within the community," Lura said. "Residents and staff can actually get to know all of their neighbors and find people who have similar interests and hobbies."
The community's 13,000-square-foot clubhouse provides rooms for games, social interaction and physical fitness.
Areas include tennis and bocce courts, a heated swimming pool and lap pool, spa, built-in barbecues, a putting green, a fitness facility, locker rooms, billiards room, craft and hobby areas, a lounge and meeting rooms.
Two sets of models are open for touring, offering a total of eight floor plans. The two-bedroom, two-bath homes with two-car garage, range from 1,235 to 2,352 square feet in their base configurations. Options such as a den can expand plans to as much as 2,813 square feet.
The homes are designed to meet Energy Star standards and come with a two-year "fit and finish" warranty and a 10-year major defect warranty.
Prices start from the $200,000s.
Select homes are available for immediate move-ins, while others can be ready before the holidays, according to the developer.
Dallas-based Centex Homes was founded in 1950.
The developer is in operation throughout 25 states, building more than 39,000 homes in its most recently completed fiscal year.
In addition to home building, the Centex family of companies provides mortgage lending, title, escrow, insurance, pest control and design services.
To visit, take the northern portion of the 215 Las Vegas Beltway to Pecos Road, go south to Tropical Parkway, then drive east to Walnut Avenue and follow the signs.
Office hours are from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily, except on Monday, when they open at noon.
