KB Home's newest plans aimed at first-time buyers



KB Home has introduced three new series of homes that may fit the needs of first-time buyers at its Liberty, Villas and Venezia neighborhoods, according to Leah Bryant, president of the builder's Las Vegas division.

"Every year more and more families are priced out of the housing market," Bryant said. "These communities make homeownership possible for many of these families."

The neighborhoods are located throughout the valley.

There are two Liberty neighborhoods -- Liberty at Silverado in the southeastern valley and Liberty at Orchards in the northeast -- and another two are expected by the end of the year.

"The demand for this product has far exceeded our expectations," sales manager Catherine Shaw said. "We made it possible for home buyers to purchase homes in very popular areas of Las Vegas where they could not afford to previously."

The Liberty neighborhoods offer eight floor plans that measure from 692 to 1,486 square feet with prices ranging from the low $100,000s to the $130,000s. The one- and two-story designs offer two to four bedrooms, 1 1/2 to 2 1/2 baths, and one-car garages.

To visit Liberty at Silverado, take Interstate 215 to Eastern Avenue, head south and turn right on Silverado Ranch Boulevard. Turn left at Bermuda Road, travel to Pyle Avenue and turn left, and turn right on Amigo Street.

To visit Liberty at Orchards, take U.S. Highway 95 to Charleston Boulevard, go east to Tree Line Drive and turn south.

Models at The Villas at Tropicana are expected to open next month in the southeastern valley. Seven floor plans ranging from 1,104 to 1,733 square feet are featured. Priced from the low $120,000s to the $140,000s, the two-story designs offer three or four bedrooms, 1 1/2 to 2 1/2 baths, and one-car garages.

To visit, take Tropicana Avenue east, past Boulder Highway, to the sales office, which is on the right.

Presales are under way at Venezia in the southwestern valley. Seven designs are offered with prices ranging from the $130,000s to the $150,000s. The one- and two-story homes range from 1,104 to 1,733 square feet and offer two to four bedrooms, one to 2 1/2 baths, and one-car garages.

To visit Venezia's temporary sales office, take Interstate 215 to Durango Drive, head south to Arby Court and turn right.

The sales offices are open daily from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. except Friday, when they open at 11 a.m.
