Turnberry exec upbeat about sales

Sales of residences in the west tower of Turnberry Towers have exceeded expectations, according to John Riordan of Turnberry Associates. He said the development appeals to buyers seeking a high level of luxury.

"Once prospective purchasers are introduced to Turnberry Towers, they discover the advantages of the Turnberry lifestyle, including living in an ideal location near the Strip with low maintenance, five-star service, luxury amenities and much more," Riordan said.

Located a block from the Strip, at Paradise Road and Karen Avenue, the development offers contemporary styling with Italian marble baths and spa tubs, granite-topped European kitchen cabinetry, upgraded appliances and 9-foot ceilings.

Available homes include a one-bedroom residence with 1 1/2 baths; a two-bedroom, two-bath unit; a plan with two bedrooms, a den and two baths; and a three-bedroom design with 2 1/2 baths.

"The one-bedroom residences were highly sought after in the first tower, and we are seeing that same pattern in the west tower," Riordan said.

The project encompasses two 45-story towers, each with 318 units.

Prices start from $500,000 to more than $1.3 million.

Both towers are planned to include a fitness facility, outdoor pool with a sundeck, landscaping, tennis, valet and 24-hour security.

Construction on the first tower began in June with occupancy slated for spring 2007. The second tower is expected to begin construction in 2006 with occupancy in 2008.

The sales office, located at 222 Karen Ave., features a furnished model. It is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily.
