Couple give nod to KB Home's San Destin at Aliante

Jay and Melissa De Jesus look forward to meeting their new neighbors at KB Home's San Destin development at Aliante, a master-planned community in North Las Vegas.

"It's definitely easier to fit in because everyone in the community is new," Melissa De Jesus said.

The couple were married in 2003.

"I actually grew up in Texas and met Jay when I was visiting relatives in the Philippines a few years ago," Melissa De Jesus said. "He was in college and a neighbor of my grandparents."

Jay De Jesus said he and his wife conducted a thorough home search.

"We liked North Las Vegas because it was a new and booming area," he said. "We especially thought Aliante had potential because it is a master plan."

"Plus, KB is a well-known builder with a great reputation," Melissa De Jesus said. "And the prices on the homes were very reasonable."

They purchased the Sesto plan from the Ravello series. The two-story home measures 1,610 square feet, and features three bedrooms and 2 1/2 baths. A two-car garage is standard.

"The square footage and layout are perfect for our family," Melissa De Jesus said. "The guest bath upstairs was in the middle of two bedrooms, which made it very accessible. And having the laundry room upstairs is a big convenience for us."

The residences at San Destin measure 1,231 to 3,803 square feet, and are priced from the high $200,000s.

To visit, take U.S. Highway 95 to the Interstate 215 exit. Proceed to the Aliante Parkway exit then go south. The sales office is open 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily except Monday, when it opens at 11 a.m.

The company's home studio and design center allows prospective buyers to obtain information on all of the builder's neighborhoods, make design choices, and gain financial advice to help them purchase a home. The facility is located at 7440 S. Industrial Road, Suite 201.
