Del Webb's diverse designs, amenities attractive to buyers

With its diverse amenities and varied floor plans, Del Webb offers homes within its four Las Vegas Valley communities to fit the needs of many buyers.

Central to the age-qualified Sun City Anthem community in Henderson is the 77,363-square-foot Anthem Center, site of fitness, social and recreational activities for residents.

"With over 40 clubs and organizations, residents are sure to expand their horizons while making new friends and developing new interests," Brooke Garner, director of activities, said.

In addition, construction of a second recreation center is under way in the community. The 35,865-square-foot facility is set to open in spring 2005.

Twelve single-story designs are available, ranging from 1,496 to 3,175 square feet. Prices start from the high $370,000s to the low $660,000s.

To visit, take Eastern Avenue south, two miles past St. Rose Parkway, turn left on Anthem Parkway and then turn right on Alexandria Drive.

Also in Henderson, Solera at Anthem is a 385-acre, age-qualified community.

"The Solera community provides all of the heart of Sun City Anthem, but on a more intimate, one-on-one scale," community association manager Karla Pearson-Call said.

Five single-story designs are available, ranging from 1,140 to 1,771 square feet. The community was created for those who prefer a simplified buying process by including features that are often considered options and upgrades. Homes are priced from the low $300,000s to the mid-$410,000s.

Tennis and bocce courts are open, while a 24,000-square-foot fitness center is scheduled to open in 2005.

To visit, take Eastern Avenue south to Anthem Parkway, turn left and proceed to Somersworth Drive.

The age-qualified Sun City Aliante is located within the Aliante master-planned community in North Las Vegas. Comprised of 326 acres, the community was designed to focus around its recreation center. Ground for the 24,000-square-foot facility was recently broken and the project is expected to be completed by spring 2005.

"Sun City Aliante's residents have already started many groups and clubs. Next spring when our recreation center opens, they'll be able to hit the ground running," Janice Neitzert, community association manager, said.

Seven single-story designs are offered, ranging from 1,155 to 2,105 square feet. The homes are priced from the mid-$310,000s to the mid-$450,000s.

Club Aliante, also located in North Las Vegas, is a guard-gated community for all ages. A highlight of the country club-style community will be its planned 5,200-square-foot fitness-recreation center, which will be complemented by a pool, spa, tennis and basketball courts, and playground. It is set for completion by late spring 2005.

Five single- and two-story homes are offered, ranging from 2,168 to 3,665 square feet. They are priced from the mid-$500,000s.

Presales are under way, with a grand opening celebration planned from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Oct. 16 and 17.

To visit either Aliante community, take U.S. Highway 95 to the Interstate 215 east exit. Proceed to the Aliante Parkway exit then go north.

All of the builder's homes earn the Environmental Protection Agency's Energy Star label, certifying they are at least 30 percent more energy efficient than homes built to standard code. In addition, they incorporate the Environments for Living technology and offer a three-year heating and cooling energy-use and comfort guarantee.

All Del Webb sales offices are open daily from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.

The builder is a subsidiary of Pulte Homes Inc., one of the nation's largest home builders.
