Tate Snyder Kimsey Architects of Henderson received design awards for two local projects from the Nevada chapter of the American Institute of Architects. One award recognized the 50,000-square-foot Las Vegas Springs Preserve Visitors Center, above, and the other honored the 44-bungalow Animal Foundation building, at right and below, a facility built to Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design standards on 8 acres. AIA, a nonprofit organization, hosted its 2003 awards ceremony last month.
