Texans appreciate Aliante
It only took days for Texans Belva and Billy Caldwell to determine that the Aliante master-planned community was the right place for them. "We feel fortunate to have found the ideal home and location in less than a week. When our broker took us to Aliante, we just loved what we saw, including the Nature Discovery Park and the landscaped walking trails and open space areas," Belva Caldwell said. "We enjoy walking and biking, and our seven grandchildren will enjoy the parks and recreation facilities when they visit." The Caldwells purchased a home in D.R. Horton's Estates neighborhood. "We found a single-story home that suits our lifestyle perfectly and has the extra space we will need when family visits," Caldwell said. "We also felt that the pricing was very competitive, especially when you consider the quality of the homes and the surrounding community." They were pleased with the overview of the community they received at the information gallery, which is open daily from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. "It's just so pretty here," Caldwell said. Encompassing 1,905 acres, the community will have as many as 7,500 homes in primary and age-qualified villages. Builders in the main village are D.R. Horton, KB Home, Pardee Homes and Pulte Homes. They are offering homes measuring between 1,141 and 3,990 square feet that are priced from the $140,000s to the $390,000s. Del Webb Corp.'s age-qualified Sun City Aliante offers single-story homes ranging from 1,155 to 2,105 square feet. They are priced from the low $200,000s to the $290,000s. About one-fourth of the acreage is designated for recreation and public purposes including an 18-hole public golf course, three city parks, trails and linear parks, and an arroyo. Plans also call for two elementary schools, a middle school, a fire station and about 100 acres of commercial development. Aliante is a development of North Valley Enterprises, an affiliate of American Nevada Co. and Del Webb. To visit, take U.S. Highway 95 to Centennial Parkway, exit east to Sky Pointe Drive and turn right. Turn right at Frontage Road, then left onto Interstate 215. Exit at Aliante Parkway and go south to the primary village or north to Sun City.
