Homeowners of second-floor Blue Jay units at Alondra, a condominium development in the northwestern valley, are viewing the change in weather as an opportunity to enjoy the fireplaces in their new homes.

"(They) really enjoy the rustic feeling of a warm, roaring fire," sales agent Ernie Alegre said. "It has been a popular amenity available in that model."

The floor plan features two bedrooms and two baths in 1,121 square feet. It is priced from the high $130,000s and includes a wet bar.
